Year 4 - Genius Project (Report Writing focus)

What is something that you know lots about, but you still want to learn more about? 

When you have this topic in your mind, that's your Genius Project Topic for this term.

Here is what you will need to do for this Project:

Complete a KWL chart. What you Know, what you Want to know and what you Learnt.

Using this Padlet link you will share what your Genius project topic is, why you know lots about it and why you love it and want to learn more about it.

Writing 

1. Write a well written report about this topic using all the report writing elements and structure.

2. Write two poems about your Genius topic using two different poetry forms. Complete a draft in your writing books then type and print your published copy. You will choose from two poetry forms that you are given.

Present a 30 second talk about your Genius project each week that will update some students on

History

Find 5 historical facts about your Genius topic, most or all that you did not previously know.


Technology and Design

Design your ideal room/space, dedicated to your Genius topic. Imagine if it was set up at the Art Gallery. What would be in it and how would you display it? You might use your Macbook or you can use squared paper for your design.

Media

Using easel.ly, create an infographic to display all your prior knowledge and your new knowledge when you have completed all the above tasks. Print out your infographic and add this to your
